BJ’s Wholesale Club opened to large crowds last Friday on Graphics Drive in Town Madison.

It’s the first Alabama club in a chain that it is in 20 states, stretching from Maine to Florida. The club in Madison is the company’s 239th club. One opened in Nashville in June.

Here are five things to know about the one in Madison.

1. It is the only wholesale club outside of Huntsville in the metro

Although it is the fourth wholesale club in the Huntsville metro area, the other three, two Sam’s Clubs and a Costco are in Huntsville.
